Based on a true story about a man named Christopher Gardner. Gardner has invested heavily in a device known as a "Bone Density scanner".When he once invested in them he felt that he found a true source of money but on the other side, in hospitals they are considered like unnecessary luxury. As work is going bad, financial problems are becoming more serious and are destroying his relationship with his wife who is already working in two shifts. Soon she leaves to another town but he stays behind alone with his son forced to live in shelters and even on the street. Gardner is now desperate to find a steady job; he takes on a job as a stockbroker, but before he can receive salary, he needs to go throuh 6 months of training, to pass an exam and also in the meantime, to sell the rest of the devices.
The movie is filled with a dose of humor and a real torture of a man who is struggling for happYness of his son and for survival of them both. True story presented in only 115 minutes of tragic drama with satisfying end.

Film je baziran na istinitoj priči i govori borbi inteligentnog, poštenog čoveka za opstanak i goli život. Kristofer Gardner je investirao sav svoj novac u sprave za snimanje kostiju koje su tek malo unapređene od već postojećih, tako da mu je broj klijenata ograničen. Kako biznis propada, sa finansijskim problemima nastaju i problemi u porodici. A kada ga žena napusti, on ostaje da brine o detetu i da se trudi da ostavi dobar utisak medju mogućim poslodavcima, sto se isprva ne čini da će mu poći za rukom. Na osnovu svojih sposobnosti i dopadljivosti uspeva da im zapadne za oko i dobija ponudu da narednih 6 meseci uloži u trening za "brokera" čime mu nije garantovana nikakva naknada. U međuvremenu se bori da proda ostatak uređaja i da stiže na vreme za ulazak u sklonište za siromašne. Film sadrži i dozu humora ali je prvenstveno drama zasnovana na istinitoj priči i govori o odnosu između oca i sina kao i o borbi za egzistenciju.
